HILARIOUS.
'Digital Dark Age' may doom some data →
Oh god this is so true. I’m reminded of so many types of files that are now obsolete: wordperfect, dbase4, arj, arc… and all those floppy disks that just went “bad.”

Revision3 Makes Layoffs, as Does Smashface →
Revision3’s new take on advertising (pre-roll announcements, mid-show advertisments) has been really annoying but I’m surprised that they had to make such deep cuts.
I have stopped watching Diggnation after watching the level of product placement and advertising become almost offensive.
EpicFU started getting on my nerves with the mid-show advertising, which I hope will no longer...

So When Will Banks Give Loans? →
Chase plans to use $25B in federal funding to buy other banks, instead of making more loans like the federal government said they money was to be used for.

What the McCain-Obama "Debates" Should Have Been... →
This is a great op-ed piece on the Nader-Baldwin debate that took place on October 23, 2008. Although I am disappointed that Bob Barr and Cynthia McKinney were unable to participate, I wholeheartedly support any debate that is open to any serious candidate for President. Real debates allow the general population to make a more informed choice on election day as well as bring up issues that are...
AIG Has Used Much of Its $123 Billion Bailout Loan →
It appears that the largest government bailout in history may not be enough to keep AIG from closing shop.
Greenspan shocked at failure of free markets →
At least Greenspan admitted that he was wrong to believe the markets would police themselves. I still don’t understand why many believe deregulation is going a good thing when regulations were enacted for very good reasons in the first place.
ARE YOU LIVING IN THE CONSTITUTION FREE ZONE? →
2/3 of the US population lives within 100 miles of the border where the federal government claims they can stop and search anyone anytime.
Socialists: Obama no socialist →
Let me echo this, Barack Obama is NOT a socialist. He is indeed a moderate Democrat. He is not a socialist. Lesson over.

AP INVESTIGATION: Alaska funded Palin kids' travel →
I expect to hear more about Palin’s loose ethics as election day comes closer. The citizens of Alaska should feel swindled, I know that I would.

Wal-Mart closes unionized Canada center →
What is Wal-Mart so afraid of? Oh yeah, that’s right- unions might demand equal wages for women, put an end to forced off the clock labor and maybe even adequate healthcare.

AT&T Turns to Retail Channels for U-Verse →
Dear AT&T,
I can’t say thanks enough for price gouging me on wireless service, really, thanks. I am writing to tell you how impressed I am with your ability to spend my hard earned money on so many important things. When I actually leave my house, I want to see your products at more places I frequent. I for one exclusively shop at Wal-Mart for broadband and can’t wait to see...
Exposing the Bi-Partisan Myth of Clean Coal →
There is no such thing as clean coal, it simply doesn’t exist. There is no excuse for us to not push for renewable energy instead.
The Beginning of the End of Cigarettes for Sale in... →
I support San Francisco’s move to make it illegal for pharmacies to sell cigarettes. I find it odd that these companies sell an idea of health while selling cancer in packs of twenty. San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom said, “Pharmacies should be places where people go to get better, not where people go to get cancer.” I completely agree.
Protesting nuns branded terrorists →
Just look at what we have become. American citizens that commit crimes are being branded terrorists and handed stiffer sentences then they normally would have received. Clearly, anti-terrorism laws are being used domestically to quiet dissent.
Supreme Court opens term with cigarette marketing... →
While the FTC should have gone further to protect consumers, ultimately it’s the tobacco companies that mislead consumers into believing light and ultra-light cigarettes were less harmful. Studies have shown that light cigarettes can contain as much, if not more, nicotine than regular “full flavor” products. The tobacco companies knew about this and purposely mislead the FTC...
