mv AT&T ../Dallas →
Great commentary on why AT&T is moving.  Put simply, San Antonio is not a startup city and there are no industry relevant businesses there.  Still, AT&T says the airlines are making it too difficult to get to San Antonio and that’s why they’re moving.

I cringed reading this story about an email Gates wrote to key individuals responsible for the horrid operating system that is/was windows xp.  Reminds me why I switched to a mac and learned freebsd.

More offshore drilling does little at the pump:... →
The MSM is sure to ignore this story.  The truth is we need to invest in our future by exploring renewable energy and sustainable resources instead of throwing more books into the fire.  There is no way that increased domestic drilling will do anything other than further enrich big oil.

Supreme Court slashes judgment in Exxon Valdez... →
This is a major upset, not only because this judgement undermines justice but also because it allowed the SCOTUS to legislate.

Supreme Court To Hear AT&T Access Fee Appeal →
Honestly, if AT&T wins this appeal and their friends in congress gut net neutrality, the internet will be dead as we know it.

This is exactly why it is important for detainees to be granted access to the US courts!  The Bush administration is not above the law and this time they got caught with their pants around their proverbial ankles.

That "New Shower Curtain Smell" Is Bad For You. →
“The study found that PVC shower curtains contained high concentrations ofphthalates, which have been linked to reproductive effects, and varying concentrations of organotins, which are compounds based on tin and hydrocarbons. One of the curtains tested released measurable quantities of as many as 108 volatile organic compounds into the air, some of which persisted for nearly a month.”

Qik: iPhone Was Video-capable All Along →
As the iPhone 3g is sure to be one of the most disappointing announcements made by Apple all year, it’s a relief to see third-party vendors, such as Qik, adding features that Apple has long neglected. I probably will not upgrade to the new iPhone, as originally planned but i will be sure to upgrade the software on my current iPhone to 2.0.  I can’t wait to see what I can do with my...

LCRA deal will provide power for 100,000 homes →
The LCRA decided to buy 200 megawatts of COAL power from a power plant being built that received much criticism from environmentalists!  This power plant as well as two other coal powered plants on the table for construction has the ability to pollute the regions air significantly.  Even worse, the LCRA, a government entity, will not release the details of the deal.  UNACCEPTABLE.
