I’m a pro at the self-checkout because my first job was a grocery store cashier.  I almost always scanned over 40+ items per minute.  There were 3 of us in the store that could hit close to 60! Anyways, I really loathe these self-checkout machines because nothing is as good as a good cashier. onedropcolors: orangeismyfavoritecolor: Ok seriously, this is how I feel at supermarkets and CVS.  The purpose of the self checkout is to be fast and not hold up the line.  I hate people who go to self checkout and end up taking longer than if they waited on the regular line and had the store clerk check them out.  I don’t know, but I really don’t find ANYTHING difficult about the self checkouts.  It is pretty self explanatory and it tells you what to do step by step (AND what NOT to do).  So, figure out where the barcode is on the item FIRST before scanning it (no the item isn’t just going to ‘scan,’ it is the barcode that scans) and stop taking your bags off of the little metal area on the other side too soon, because it will yell at you to put it back down (yes it has a scale that can tell when it is removed).  It just boggles my mind.  I literally take like 2 minutes to do self checkout with NO issues.  Why does it take people 10 minutes?  Just go wait on the regular line because it will make my life AND your life easier….
