What the McCain-Obama "Debates" Should Have Been Like →
This is a great op-ed piece on the Nader-Baldwin debate that took place on October 23, 2008. Although I am disappointed that Bob Barr and Cynthia McKinney were unable to participate, I wholeheartedly support any debate that is open to any serious candidate for President. Real debates allow the general population to make a more informed choice on election day as well as bring up issues that are important to voters despite being ignored by the Democrats and Republicans. I could care less for the CPD debates because they generally lack substance. Hopefully more Americans will notice this as more third-party debates take place in the future, whether or not it’s this year or in four.
