Essentially this is $555 million that Texas’s economy has lost thanks to good old boy politics.  The fact that Governor Perry held a press conference at an upscale hardware store shows exactly how out of touch he is.  With or without these stimulus dollars, The State will have to raise unemployment taxes on employers before the end of the year.
